securing job opportunities. It provides
career counseling, resume building, and interview preparation to enhance
students' employability. The cell organises job fairs, networking events, and
collaborates with industries to connect students with potential employers.
Internship placements and further contribute to students' practical exposure. Overall, the placement cell plays a crucial role
in bridging the gap between academia and the professional world.
The Career
Counseling & Placement Cell performs various activities:
- Organizing
Career Guidance Lectures on diverse themes.
- Maintaining
a library of competitive books and magazines for exam preparation.
- Providing
a platform for students to participate in zonal job fair training programs.
- Grooming
and training candidates to enhance their chances of selection during campus
placements.
- Coordinating
visits to zonal job fairs organized by the Department of Higher Education,
facilitating campus placements and managing follow-up, joining formalities, and
administrative tasks.
- Guiding
students on grooming, interview techniques, and assessment for optimal
benefits, with continuous updates to placement cell coordinators' guidelines
for increased effectiveness.
